I wish I would have actually gotten a chance to try out this heater. Unfortunately, only one of the two cartons that this unit comes in actually shipped. I contacted Amazon immediately, and after some investigation, the missing carton was nowhere to be found. I would have returned what I had for an exchange, but they were completely out of stock on this unit. Amazon did make me an offer that sounded good at first. They gave me the option of keeping what I had (the heater minus the reflector panel) at a 40% discount. I thought it would be easy enough to contact Well Traveled Living, the company that distributes Fire Sense products, and order the missing part. First of all, I was unable to actually speak to a human on the phone. All communication was through e-mail and online chat. After a full day of back and forth, their "customer service" rep was unable to answer some very basic questions, such as: do you have the part in stock, how much does it cost, how much is shipping, and when will it ship. I finally gave up, and returned the incomplete unit for a full refund. The parts that did arrive in the original shipment looked to be good quality. But I will not buy something if I know in advance that I will have trouble getting parts for it in the future. The bottom line is, Amazon seemed to be making a genuine effort to provide good customer service. But, if you ever need warranty service, or just replacement parts, you're likely in for a real hassle from Well Traveled Living.
